What a gift from nature honey is! And this tart puts honey and nuts right on top, where they belong.
1 unbaked 9” tart crust
Filling
1/4 c. almonds
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1/4 c. flour
Topping
6 T. butter, softened
1/4 c. honey (light colored)
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. shredded coconut
1/4 c. almonds
1. Heat oven to 350°
2. For the filling, combine almonds and sugar In food processor and pulse just until finely ground. Add vanilla and butter, pulse until mixed well. Add eggs and pulse until smooth.
3. Transfer to bowl. Stir in flour, blending well. Spread evenly in tart crust.
4. For the topping, stir together the topping ingredients, then sprinkle over the filling.
5. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the tart is golden.
6. Cool completely before serving.
